About Us

Cheshta Foundation is an Charitable Trust & Training Centre working in the field of disability management and rehabilitation of persons afflicted with CP(Cerebral Palsy) and MR(Mental Retardation) with a primary objective of training and awareness creation. The Training Centre was initially established as an NGO “Cheshta” in August 2010 . After a few years of activities the Trust was registered as “Cheshta Foundation”in January 2015 at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh (India).

Objectives

The basic objective of the centre is to provide training to physically and mentally challenged children and to create awareness about the existence of such afflictions in the society and the issues faced by the affected people. Infrastructure

The Trust is established in a easily accessible location in Prayagraj city wherein all the sections are barrier free to facilitate free movement of trainees in the entire premises. The centre is equipped with

  • Four special education training cells
  • A fully equipped physiotherapy training room
  • A Speech Therapy training room
  • An occupational therapy training hall.
  • A group activity hall of more than one thousand sq. Ft with audio- visual training equipment inclusive of a 115 cms LED Panel.
  • Facilities for developing the skills / abilities of trainees in music, dance, art & craft etc.
  • Facility for Vocational training on use of Computers.

Contribute

  • AS A VOLUNTEER: The centre welcomes suitably qualified/experienced individuals to get associated with its work force as volunteers in the professional field to strengthen the day to day training activities
  • AS A SUPPORT PERSONNEL: Aid the centre’s activities related to awareness creation and Community/Centre based rehabilitation programmes
  • Provision of transport support for Children with Special Needs.
  • Provision of capital intensive equipment & devices for Children with Special Needs.
  • Provision of advanced text & audio-visual training materials inclusive of latest techniques of management of Children with Special Needs.
  • Provision of financial assistance for progressive improvement of centre’s training activities
